Our Story

Ever heard of the Six Degrees of Separation with Kevin Bacon? Basically, any actor in any film can be connected to Kevin Bacon by six degrees of separation.

That's kind of how Z and I met. We had mutual friends that knew someone that knew someone, yada yada yada.

We had grown up a town apart, gone to the same college, attended the same bars and parties, but wouldn't meet until after graduation in our friend's backyard.

Our relationship progressed very quickly:

2010:

August: We met.
September: We started dating.
November: He left for Basic Training.
December: Came home from Basic Training and we got engaged.

2011:

January: He went back to Basic Training.
March: He graduated Basic Training and we got married in Georgia.
April: We got stationed in Fort Drum and I got pregnant.
May: He deployed to Afghanistan.

Yes, it was quick. But I just knew. And I was more in love than I ever thought possible.

And still am.

He is Active Duty Army and we currently reside in Fort Drum, New York with our beautiful baby boy and dog.

  6. Just found your blog last week, so glad I did! You're family is beautiful, and who doesn't love a good whirlwind romance?!? I knew right away with my hubs too. I'm a cops wife, so I get the whole "husband has a dangerous job" thing - but I admire your strength because I could never survive a deployment. God bless you!!!
